Buyer beware!

Most of us law abiding citizens are quite vigilant about making sure to avoid IP theft. But sometimes even the most honest of us aren't sure about the legal status of our CD collections. Our friends at the RIAA have a nifty checklist to help us all be more vigilant to prevent hard-working artists starving due to IP crimes.

Buyer Beware—The Six Deadly Sins of CD Rip-offs

If you have any doubts before you buy a CD, check out these six warning signs.

• The packaging has blurry graphics, weak or bad color.
• The package or disc has misspelled words.
• The price is often way below retail value.
• The record label is missing or it’s a company you’ve never heard of.
• It has cheaply made insert cards, often without liner notes or multiple folds.
• The sound quality is often poor or inconsistent.

Update:
If you notice that one of your CDs (or the CDs of your friends) is like this, please do the right thing and report. Here's how to report the crime if you find someone who might be stealing IP, with a $10,000 reward.

Voicemail Zen: Mommy zen!

So like I have this great funny voicemail from my mom and she totally calls my blog a 'bloog', and then she thought that her computer was broken, but I deleted it before I could make an mp3.
